Project-wide information
Legal, privacy & reuse
One set of rules for realevents3d.com and every Real Events 3D reconstruction. Project-specific sources, methodology and content warnings remain inside each application.
Effective: 20 September 2026
01
Operator and contact
Real Events 3D is an independent hobby project operated by Jarosław Gil. The same person is the controller of personal data processed through this website.
For privacy requests, permissions, corrections or takedown notices, write to contact@realevents3d.com.
02
Privacy
What may be processed
No account, form or newsletter is required. The site does not maintain its own visitor database. During ordinary use, the hosting provider may record technical server logs such as your IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information and server response.
If you email us, your address, message and subsequent correspondence are processed so the request can be handled.
Why and for how long
Technical data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in delivering, securing and diagnosing the website. Correspondence is processed to answer a request and, where necessary, to establish or defend claims.
Server logs are retained according to the hosting configuration and security needs. Correspondence is kept only for as long as it remains necessary for the conversation, applicable obligations or possible claims.
Recipients and rights
Data may be handled by the production hosting and email providers only to the extent needed to provide those services. The production website is hosted by OVHcloud. Individual reconstructions may also request technical assets from the providers named in their source or methodology panels.
Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority or the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) ↗.
04
Reuse and attribution
You may freely share links to Real Events 3D projects and embed an unmodified project page, provided that the original interface, credits and links remain visible.
Screenshots and screen recordings may be used in editorial, informational, educational and social-media content — including monetised content — provided that they support commentary, reporting or education, are not presented in a misleading way and include the following visible credit:
For online publication, include an active link to the relevant Real Events 3D project or to realevents3d.com wherever the platform permits it.
Permission and licensing
Prior written permission is required for:
- advertising, product promotion or branded campaigns;
- publishing complete or near-complete recordings as a substitute for the original project;
- selling, sublicensing, placing in stock libraries or redistributing the material as standalone content;
- removing credits or watermarks, claiming the material as your own or implying endorsement by Real Events 3D.
Permission may be granted free of charge or subject to a licence fee depending on the intended use. Contact contact@realevents3d.com before publication.
These permissions apply only to original Real Events 3D material. Third-party footage, imagery, maps, data and other materials remain subject to their respective licence terms. Source code, project files and standalone 3D assets are not included.
Nothing in these terms limits uses permitted by applicable law.
05
Third-party materials
The reuse permission above covers only original Real Events 3D models, interface elements and visualisation work. It does not grant rights to third-party videos, photographs, maps, datasets, logos, publications, software or other source materials referenced by a project.
Those materials remain subject to their owners' terms, licences and applicable law. Check the source list inside the relevant reconstruction before reusing anything that did not originate with Real Events 3D.
06
Accuracy, context and corrections
Real Events 3D projects are illustrative reconstructions assembled from available sources. They may contain estimates, simplifications, omissions and generalised geometry. Unless a project explicitly states otherwise, they are not scientific, hydrodynamic, structural, forensic or investigative simulations and must not be used for navigation or safety decisions.
Project-specific sources, assumptions and limitations are listed inside each application. If you identify an error, missing credit or rights issue, email contact@realevents3d.com and identify the project and material concerned.
Support
Help build the next reconstruction
Voluntary support helps cover research, hosting and development. It does not purchase a product, membership or influence over editorial decisions.
Payments would be handled by Ko-fi and its payment providers. Their privacy and payment terms would apply.07
Changes to these rules
This page may be updated when the website, its external services or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Published project links will continue to point here so the same rules remain consistent across the collection.
